Synopsis

War films provided an abundant source for many films in the 60s. Like DOLAOJI ANUN HABYUNG: THE MARINE OF NO RETURN or PIAGOL : PIA VALLEY, this films is also recognized as one of the foremost Korean War films. This film depicts the anti-communist guerrillas who fought near the northern Mashikryung mountains in 1951. The conflict between North Korean officer Shin Sung-II and older brother South Korean captain, Shin Young-Kyun clearly represents itself as a metaphor for the Korean War.
