Little Red Riding Hood

David KAPLAN

UK199712min

Synopsis

Shot beautifully in black and white, this film brings us an interesting rendition of the classic fairy tale, LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD, which originally was a French childrens book written in the late 1800s called THE STORY OF GRANDMOTHER. The film transforms this classic fable into a story about a wolf-like man who aids a teenage girl in discovering her sexual identity. The film resembles much of the German expressionistic films with its eschewed sets and film noiresque tones.
