Synopsis
Burman studio, famous for their spectacular special effects in ADAM’S FAMILY, TOTAL RECALL, SPEED, and WATER WORLD once again showed their creative filmmaking in STAR KIDS, filled with new character and exciting images. A twelve year old Spencer Thomas is entering his rebellious teenage years but with a bit of a problem. No girls in his school will date him, and his older sister Tracey always makes fun of him. His father is too busy to spend time with him, and his mother died a year ago.
One day, while surveying an automotive junkyard with his binoculars, Spencer discovers a strange light illuminating from a cybersuit. What happens next changes Spencer’s entire life. The plot in STAR KIDS is similar to Spielberg’s classic E.T. Spencer enter the cybersuit which is already part of an alien, and both beings transform into one. Trough the course of the film they develop a genuine friendship and an understanding of both of their worlds evolve. In the end, they destroy an evil monster called Brood Warrior led by Spencer’s shear courage and wit. Finally, they must say their farewells as the alien has to return to his own planet. STAR KIDS is a childhood fantsy that will dazzle the viewer with its special effects and entertaining storyline.
