Synopsis
Midori, an unhappy Japanese bride, on honeymoon in Sydney with her new husband Yukio fakes her own kidnapping in order to live with her former lover. After she escapes her husband, her ex-lover doesn’t show up at their rendezuous destination. Abandoned and confused, Midori is then taken hostage by real bank burglars after she witnesses their unsuccessful robbery attempt. As they prepare to shoot her, Colin, the getaway driver, saves Midori but accidently kills Gullbuddin, the younger brother of the Afghani gangster Mahood. Meanwhile, Yukio finds out from the police that she has faked her disappearance in other to meet a lover. Yukio, furios about his wife’s betayal, buys a gun and searches for Midori. Both Colin and Midori flee across the country hoping for freedom as Yukio and Mahood, who seeks to avenge his brother’s death, hunt the romantic duo who later fall passionately in love during their journey.
