Synopsis

Unlike prior films that has depicted Italian immigrants as stereotypical Mafia gangsters, “Big Night” paints a different portrayal of Italian Americans with a touch of rich spices and sincere brotherly love In the 1950s, two Italian brothers named Primo and Secondo have immirated to America with dream of opening a successful Italian restaurant
The older brother Primo is an excellent cook who only makes his dishes with original Italian recipes. Unfortunately, no one desires to eat Primo’s cooking because another Italian restaurant across the road serves more Americanized Italian dishes, like pizza and spaghetti, which are more popular in the neighborhood. To draw attention to their business, Primo and his younger brother Secondo plan a big dinner inviting many friend and a famous singer.
Will their restaurant go bankrupt or will it be the next hot spot for pasta lovers? Only with a little luck and just the right spices can the “Big Night”be a true success.

His past works as a film actor include The Shetering Sky, Longtime Companion, and Mrs.Parker and the Viscious Circle. Big Night is their first feature film as a director.
