Synopsis
Living in an age of impersonal communication where alienation and loneliness touches every part of life, this film presents a story of love between these disconnected people who are connected through technology. A woman who is in love with her friend’s boyfriend and a man who cannot forget his ex-girlfriend meet through the ‘net’. They become closer and eventually decide to meet. Contact is the first commercial feature for director Chang Yoon-hyun who was the forerunner in the 80s peoples movement film group, ‘Ghangsan Sowtmeh.” This film suggests a different type of way. I.e. modern communication, to overcome the sense of lack that derives from life in the city.
