Synopsis
Nothing is impossible in the realm of animation. Inside the world of moving pictures, the dreams and hopes of every child can be perfectly realized. The Bear is a short animation film about a magical friendship between a little girl and a polar bear. Without the knowledge of her parents, Tilly befriends an enormous polar bear from the zoo. They share a lovely time together at home until the bear hears the call from the stars. Together they embark on a journey, which turns out to be an unforgettable night of adventure. In many ways, The Bear resembles the previously-released film called The Snowman, for the simple reason that the two share the same production team. In fact, the director Hilary Audus mischievously borrows a few scenes from The Snowman for this film. The infamous scene of a flying snowman comes up on the T. V. screen viewed by Tilly? parents, for instance. With beautifully applied pastel colours and heart-warming music, Audus has recreated a wonderful world of myth and magic for the whole family.
