Synopsis

What will happen if a mythical Goddess appears in the modern times? Venus Blue is born from such an imaginative thinking. In modern cities, the green nature gradually disappears, replaced by the blue flowers bloomed by the high technology. The Venus comes back to life at the end of a century. She breathes with the television screen and, clad in cold blue, enters into the city. People who come across her fall into a queer illusion in which they cannot determine if they are happy or unhappy. The young men dance and the middle-aged men experience hallucinations. Lust is stimulating, but if they turn the city into chaos, the Venus may be more than a simple object of lust. Thus, an interesting way of enjoying the film will be to find out what the Venus' body signifies. (PARK Ji-Yeon)
