Synopsis

There is no oxygen. What happened to oxygen?? Opening with the narration, Daylight fills the screen with an interesting array of surreal images. Paper puppets are lined up in a dark space. They play and they fight but when they sense a hint of wind in the air they shake with fear. The light finally enters their world and the darkness is washed away. This film was created by blending real-life shots with animation techniques. Although it is not easy to make a logical sense out of the film, one can enjoy the feast of visual images. These dream-like images are presented in a unique orderly fashion, as one would find them at the Pop Art Exhibition. When the light conquers the dark and the puppets reconcile, it is hinted that everything was a part of someone else? dream. The last real-life scene showing the images of plants growing under the light is spectacular. (KIM Eui-Chan)
