Synopsis
A young man heads towards a strange-looking library. Inside, it has a labyrinth-like structure and people are reading books. Feeling apprehensive, the man asks the librarian for help and is guided to another room. In the midst of intensive reading, he hears a peculiar scream coming from the corridors. Curious, he wanders around the maze to locate the origin of the noise and comes across a naked woman in an isolated space. The woman approaches him seductively, only to be rejected by the man.
This film compares the maze-like structure of the library to the complex circuit board of the human mind. At the same time, it questions the basis of concrete reality and warns that the endless search for the unknown can imprison the mind itself. The complex relationship between literature and film is a much-used theme in many movies. Whatever the conclusion may be, one cannot ignore the fact that they both reflect the inner aspects of the human mind. This abstract and surreal film has been, according to the director, inspired by the work of Borge?. (KIM Eui-Chan)
