Synopsis

Murders in the city. Animal hair is found at the scene of the crimes - wolf hair. The writer, Thomas Kromer, is attacked from behind during a full moon. He? bitten in the neck. The animal disappears unseen into the woods. Later, when his grandmother is found dead, horribly mangled, he begins to believe that he might be a werewolf. Thus begins a search for the truth. The search for himself. But as the search continues, each piece of evidence points towards his guilt and to the beast within him. His initial shock at this realization is replaced by a feeling of a yet unknown level of consciousness. He wins the heart of Alexandra, whom he had secretly desired for a long time. As the next full moon draws closer and closer, Kromer becomes more and more afraid that he will harm Alexandra as a werewolf. He wants to protect her and be absolutely certain about himself. He attempts to document his transformation into a werewolf on video during the full moon, while his friend guards the door with a gun. When he finally finds out the horrible truth about himself and the series of murders, it? too late. The police are hunting Kromer, and Alexandra? life is in danger. In order to save her, Kromer must risk losing everything as he battles the Evil One whose plan is geared for their ultimate demise.

Peter FRATZSCHER

Born in Kassel, Germany, in 1950. He began studing German and Philosophy in Frankfurt in 1970. He attended the Academy for Television and Film(HFF) in Munich from 1970 to 1974, and served as an assistant lecturer in the film and TV drama department from 1975 to 1976. After a short film, Verfiss es, Asphaltnacht (80), Panische Zeiten (80)(co-directed with Udo Lindenberg), Andre' schalafft sie alle (84) and Blutspur in den Osten (95)
