Inugami

Synopsis

Miki, shocked by having a baby born dead who was fathered her brother, hides in a forest of Shikoku. There she makes Japanese traditional papers. The villagers scorn her claiming she is a descendent of the Inugami but she doesn't seem to care. Akira, a new teacher accidentally drops in her workroom, and they find that they are attracted to each other. One day they both go into a cave in a mountain to take shelter from the rain. There, in the cave, sexual passions flare up. The cave they're in is also the cave where Miki had sex with her brother. Miki's mom tells her she should succeed the Inugami. Afterwards strange things starts to happen and villagers assume they are a series of curses, finally they start to blame on Inugami. Realizing that the villagers are not happy with their presence, Miki decides to leave this village with Akira. (YOON Yong-soon)

Born in 1949, Japan. Director, writer, actor. He is known for Baunsu ko gaurusu (1997), Inugami (2001). He received Festival Prize in Yokohama Film Festival for Baunsu ko gaurusu. And nominated in Catalonian International Film Festival and Berlin International Film Festival for Inugami.
