Synopsis

Sometimes the word oblivion is accepted as an elixir to all sufferings. If people can choose oblivion they might be able to live their lives more enjoyably. The motif in the beginning of is that people rush into a time and space where they can freely choose to erase memories they wish to erase. This is the same with Anna, the main character of ; She suffers from the memory of her child she had aborted. She goes to find an oblivion virus to erase that memory. Anna searches for the virus with a virus guide Yuki and a taxi driver who takes them around. The taxi driver, K, grew up in an orphanage and doesn't know who he is. He has a picture of himself in his taxi, hoping that someone will recognize him. Hoping to recover his memory, he is a character standing on the very opposite side of Anna. Yuki connects the two, oblivion and recovery, a character closely related to the theme of the film. starts with a question on oblivion itself, but as the story progresses, connects with the meaning of oblivion between people. Erasing one's past one by one through oblivion is the road to denying oneself, and in the process one‘s existence disappears. The director questions us about life, people who are standing in between oblivion and recovery. (LIM Jisoo)
