Synopsis

Nine-year-old Elina lives in northern Sweden in the 1950s. Elina misses her dead father and feels alone in her grief. She’s stuck between life and death, between absent poetic father and present prosaic mother, between fantasy and reality, between order and wilderness, between the Swedish and the Finnish, the society and the nature.

Klaus HÄRÖ

Born in Porvoo, in Southern Finland in 1971, Klaus Hr studied film direction at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki. While still a student, he started to make a name for himself by creating short films and documentaries for television. is his first feature film. He is currently working on his second full-length documentary.
