He is an incredible daydreamer. One day, when his girlfriend is on a business trip, Keung runs into a woman who seems like the woman in red in his dreams. She is his new neighbor, a Japanese stewardess, Yurei. Keung approaches her out of curiosity but Yurei ends up with a broken heart. Deciding to get revenge, Yurei reserves two very special airline tickets for Keung and his girlfriend : first-class tickets on a flight to hell! is a low-budget film from Hong Kong that attempts to mix comedy and suspense. The film falls into the genre of horror but it is much closer to a comedy. It is quite an original film in the way it takes really entertaining scenes and carries them through a horror or mystery film-like mood. The endless daydreaming of the main character who writes for adult erotic film, and his girlfriend’s father who acts outrageously, add to the fun. This is a film where the colors of director Sam Leong shine through strikingly. The assistant director of films and as well as part of the production staff on various horror films, Leong took his experiences and ideas and let them manifest themselves 100% in this film. The director’s intent is excellently revealed in the continuous images and he works to make it even better. Like the film , which was produced in the same year, was made through the ‘one-stop system’ where Leong wrote, directed, and produced the film.(Moon Seung-wook)
