Synopsis

Don Jose, the great hero who won the war against the ants in May 1958, returns to his hometown dreaming of the happy days he will share with his beautiful bride, Bella. However, his peaceful dream is disrupted with the appearance of Roco Satano, a man who wishes to be born anew through the union of human and ant. The result is disasterous from the first night. With the help of the woman town mayor and Indian Fumijimo, Don Jose steps into the ant world to rescue his bride, kidnapped by Roco Satano. Unfortunately, Santano’s brain gets eaten by ants, and he is transformed into an ant-man. Dipping a white sausage into salsa sauce? It’s not that bizarre a combination in a sense. A movie that features Mexicans speaking German, is a bit unfamiliar and strange, like a plate of food that consists of too many flavors. Abounding with shabby rubber outfits, there isn’t a single point in the movie that doesn’t scream “cheap”. is one of 4 episodes in the movie series “Planet B” produced by Babelsberque Studio, producer of prominent German works such as and. As you can already figure out from the movie title itself, this film follows willingly the principles of Hollywood ‘B’flicks. The movie, produced on a budget of only 800,000 dollars, and featuring new faces, is set in the desert of a classic western. The disgustingly figured ants trying to threaten the humans is like something from a horror film, and the attempts at combining humans with ants is pure science fiction. This movie gets praise for its unique thirties or forties style. opens the door to a new experience for those movie lovers who are bored with movies that deal only with love.(Won Hirin)
