Synopsis

Dongpari is a village in the north where people who cannot go back to their hometowns engage in the transport of agriculture. Because of the hard work, YoonKoo's son, ChangHwan, and his grandson, SangPil, tried to sell the land. After becoming aware of this, YoonKoo reprimands his son and tells him that his decision is to conserve their own land once again. A warrior in the war, Song Dae Sub, tells YoonKoo the story of the battle. YoonKoo becomes insane regarding the death of his son, ChangYoon, and he becomes certain that his son still remains in the battlefield on BaekAk valley as a grave wood. After getting admission, YoonKoo searches for grave wood in the DMZ. Around a worn and abrasive grave wood, he sees OkJiHawn, and he realizes that the grave wood is Changhawn.

Diretor

GO Yeong-nam

One of the most prolific directors in Korea, he directed over 100 films in his lifetime. His directorial debut film is The Lost Sun (1964) and directed his best-known film The Land of Snow (1977), Subzero Point ’81 (1981).
