Synopsis

There is a shop that sells flower shoes. Han, an old man, talks to the children about the beauty of flower shoes. He makes his livelihood by making shoes. But he is getting poor because of the spread of rubber shoes and western shoes. He gives Sooya away as a resident servant. Sangdo proposes marriage to her but she becomes the second wife of an old gentleman. Han dies, leaving behind 3 flower shoes. The story is about the obstinacy of a man who tries to keep a valuable thing and the thing he had to lose.

GO Yeong-nam

One of the most prolific directors in Korea, he directed over 100 films in his lifetime. His directorial debut film is The Lost Sun (1964) and directed his best-known film The Land of Snow (1977), Subzero Point ’81 (1981).
