Synopsis

In the beginning of the movie, you will see men making their way through a dense forest. The dense forest in the dark seems to be a fearful creature that hides something. The men laugh at the story of the spirit that protects the Takien forest, but the supernatural energy kills one of them, a portent of future disasters. The villagers of this secluded area in the mountain have no money, but they enjoy their lives being in harmony with the forest. The forest is a playground and a holy ground to women who take their baths in the stream and children who play in the water. In a four wheel drive truck, dam constructors from Bangkok rush through the water and give some money to the villagers, planning to civilize the place. The boss of the construction site plans to marry Pon, the daughter of one of his workers, but Pon has special feeling toward Kamtong. When they cut a large tree for the construction, the tree starts to bleed, and they begin to see the spirit that appears as a woman more often. They complete the dam but the disaster they are about to face is obvious. It is the endless greed of human being that destroy their society, What then, can we do save and restore the world? In the last scene where the people are rescued from the disaster and where Kamtong and Pon reunite, Wongpim, the director, provides the solution by showing the forest recovering its beauty.
