Synopsis

This is a Thai movie about evil spirits. A woman who died with a grudge is reborn as a lizard and attacks other people. It was the top movie at the Thai box office for 3 weeks, and the opening sequence in the first 30 minutes is very unique. The evil spirits of lizards are released by Japanese scientists in a dangerous research project. This implies the disaster brought about by destruction of nature. The story about the revenge of a spirit with a grudge, which can be offen seen in Asian movies, can be seen in this movie. The special effects where lizards pour out of the mouth are just amazing. The movie tells of the story of a writer names Kwanpilin, who just finished her lastest book, a story about an evil lizard. Oneday, on the way back to Bankok, she buys a small wooden box in a small village. She does not realize that this is the origin of every mystery. Kwanpilin experiences strange illusion of killing people under the control of an evil lizard. However, no one believes her. Even her boyfriend, Vitool, suggests that she should go and see a psychiatrist. She realizes that something is threatening her life and she searches for ways to stop it without knowing that she is the source of all tragedies.

'The Outsiders' was selected for many international film festivals, won a trophy of an Outstanding Film in the 1981 London International Festival, and was in the Top 10 TonyRyan Best Films, named after the famous British film critic. 'Once is More Than Enough' starred Sinjai Hongthai, and Likit Ekmongkol, and won Thai Academy Awards for Best Film, Best Screenwriting, Best Actor in a Leading Role, and Best Recording Awards in 1988.
