Synopsis
This is a stylish thriller that was nominated at the Sundance Film Festival, the Cannes Film Festival and the Toronto Film Festival. They believe that they can steal luck from another person. The bank robber, Tomas, is the luckiest man. He was in a plane crash where he was the only survivor, but the police monitors him 24 hours a day. Federico where makes his move to Tomas, who may get imprisoned for life. If Tomas does Federico a favor, he can enjoy his life forever without worrying about the police. Federico has a special gift. He has the ability to bestow luck simply by laying his hands on another person. Federico uses Tomas in order to challenge Sam, who is know as the God of chance. He was the sole survivor of a Nazi prison during World War II. Sam manages a casino and takes on any challenger. Sarah is a policewoman who loses her entire family in a car accident. There is something in the gambling that they did in the movie that is so astonishing. The most astonishing part of movie is the part where they run blind folded across a dangerous forest. They run shouting "Faster, faster", and even though they run into trees and bleed, they just keep on running to decided who the luckiest man is. This luck-sucking game may take away their lives, but to them, it is a sublime challenge.
