Synopsis

Lovely young girl Bonnie lives with her depressed mother and her grandmother who is Bonnie's actual caretaker for the mother. One day, the girl loses her grandmother to a car accident, and this only worsens her mother's depression. As Bonnie becomes lonelier, she urges her mother to give her a younger sibling. To this end, she comes up with endearing plans, but she only realizes it\'s not as easy as it seemed. Yet, a family is finally born in the most unexpected way. What may be more important than having food and bed is the comfort from the fact that you have someone beside you. A film encourages one to think what it means to be part of a family through the eyes of a very mature child and this one will make you happy when leaving the theater.

He graduated from Netherlands Film and Television Academy. Directed Duister licht (1997) and took a good reputation. With SUZY Q, he received prized in and out of Netherlands. He directed South (2003), Amnesia (2001), The Cave (2001).
