Bardo

Tay-jou Lin

Taiwan2005 70min Digi-Beta Color

Synopsis

Tay-jou Lin streams through his deep rooted Buddhist world view to capture horrendous human life in a poetic rhythm and with brutal visual. Throughout this Taiwanese film, composed of three parts, suffering human beings are overlapped with other images, so that the film itself embodies a religious metaphor. Bardo is a unique creation in which visually shocking images co-exist, a reminder of Dante\'s hell and Buddhist purgatory.
