A love story of obsession and sharp teeth between a woman left behind in a fairy tale gone wrong and a merman trapped in a reality that drowns him. It seems that she is a hunter and he is a little shaking fish.
Katerina Athanasopoulou was born in Greece, where she studied Painting at the School of Fine Arts in Thessaloniki. During that time she started experimenting with cut-outs and video, realizing her love for the moving image. She moved to London and completed an Animation MA at the Royal College of Art in 2002. Since then, she's been busy making films, working as a designer and compositor and teaching. Her films lie between animation and live action and she loves to discover new ways of playing with still and moving images through complex, deep layering. Her animation has been shown in international festivals, the stage and art galleries.
