Synopsis

A posthumous work by Director Shin Sang-wook, who died April this year. The master's 2004-year film reminds us of how film should approach the reality at this time when CG-manipulated monsters thunders movie theaters. A story about conflicts and love-and-hate relationship between a demented old man (Shin Goo and his daughter-in-law (Kim Ji-sook is a reality that we will all have to experience at one time or another and a phenomenon that may be so commonplace that few ever bother to take notice. The camera goes right into that zone. It is a master's mature creation that pictures the winter of life in a composed perspective.
