Synopsis

Kenta Fukasaku, also the director of Battle Royale 2, succeeded in filming a fantastic melodrama. The movie attracted much attention from the start, as it starred Japan's Yosuke Kubozuka and Hong Kong's Edison Chen. The two young men Tetsuya and Don, who grew up together, try to solve their strangely difficult relationship that began from the past after Don is released from prison. The movie is a touching story of the two men going back and forth between the past and present.

FUKASAKU Kenta

Kenta FUKASAKU, the only son of the legendary action director, Kinji FUKASAKU, became an assistant director on the Toei’s TV series after graduating from Seijo University. After leaving the studio for a freelance career, he became an assistant director on feature films, and in 2000, he debuted as screenwriter and producer for the original Battle Royale. With Battle Royale II, he carries on his father’s vision, directing from his own screenplay. In 2005, he debuted as a director with the romance film Under The Same Moon. In 2006, Kenta made an international success again with the new style of non-stop action Yo-Yo Girl Cop.
