Synopsis

Is soccer a sport exclusively for macho men? Things go out of control as an Icelandic star soccer player comes out of the closet. Faced with more frequent confrontations with his team members after the disclosure, he becomes utterly confused. Worrying about how other team mates will feel about him and being reduced to a mere bench warmer, he gives up on soccer altogether, which has been his everything and leaves his team. Now, he gets a new position in a gay soccer team where he regains his life's dream.

Robert Douglas, born in 1973 in Iceland, studied media. He started making short films when he was little and now has become one of the most successful and promising young film directors in Iceland. He has produced films like The Icelandic Dream (2000), A Man like me (2002), Small Mall (2004).
