Synopsis
Middle-aged neo-Nazi Adam is sentenced to community service at a small country church where he meets the church's priest, Ivan. The priest encourages Adam, who is rough and filled with hostility with no hope for reform, to establish a single, clear objective for himself. When Adam says he will bake an apple pie, Ivan gives him an assignment regarding the church's apple tree. It is an outstanding comedy by Anders Thomas Jensen, a Danish director who won an Academy Award for best short film with his 1999 work, Election Night. Adam's Apples has won awards in four categories including Best Film of the Year at the Brussels Int'l Festival of Fantastic Films (BIFFF in 2006).
