Synopsis

In 1375, Goryeo-Ming relations begin to suffer due to King Gongmin's assassination and the Ming envoy's murder. Goryeo dispatches nine warriors and 12 individuals to Ming as envoys to mend the broken relationship. But they are mistaken as spies when they arrive in Ming and subsequently banished. On their way to the remote exile, Mongolian troops attack the hostages and their escorting Ming soldiers. Only the Goryeo envoys survive. Isolated in the desert, they divide over what to do. One group (CHOI Jung) argue they should all find the way to return to Goryeo, whereas the other group suggests they wait for Ming reinforcement. CHOI prevails and the team starts their long, harsh journey back home. Directed by KIM Sung Soo, The Warrior, Korean-Chinese-Japanese collaboration of extremely Korean rendition of a 14th century saga, presents an international version for its 12th PiFan showing. Enjoy vast Chinese desert and majestic landscape, massive battle scenes, realistic action spectacles, and top-notch tri-state filming cachet.
