Synopsis

In the darkness of the night, the streets of Hollywood are filled with crimes and violence. A women known as Princess turns to prostitution to support her young daughter. One day, she hears that her friend Ginger was murdered by a brutal pimp named Ramrod. The vice squad of the LAPD arrests Ramrod but he escapes from police custody. Princess is forced by Detective Walsh and his vice squad to help them capture Ramrod. Vice Squad is one of the late movies of AVCo Embassy Pictures which provided B movies to Grindhouse from the 1960's to the early 1980's. The movie is a masterpiece of classic B-movie, where all elements of exploitation movie are well organized. Directed by Gary Sherman, whose movie Wanted: Dead or Alive starring Rutger Hauer and starred by Gary Swanson as a hard-boiled detective Tom Walsh, the movie is based on real stories of LAPD. Though he was young at the time the film captured a confident style that would carry through future works as he finely tunes his abilities to action, horror and thrillers.
