Synopsis
Spectacle sports scenes and dramatic climax; are there any more to expect from an athletic movie? The answer is 'yes' in Dream Team. It is an utter pleasure to meet kindergarten kids in the conventional development of a sports film who enter tug-of-war contest. In Bangkok, Taipei, a kindergarten teacher Noo Lek decides to run tug-of-war team with the kids and invites a football coach to train them. Unlike adults, children are not attached to victory, thus Mr. Bird, the cold-blooded coach, realizes the true sense of sports spirit through the kids. In addition, competitive tensions existent in other sports movies are thinned here with witty children. The children's innocent minds are strikingly contrasted with selfish game their parents played to place their kids as key players. The children aims for cooperation not for competition, and they arouse change in adults as well. (HUH Nam Woong)
