Synopsis

Unlike the symbolic style of Bollywood masala movies, there is no dance or songs in Sarkar Raj. However, it outperformed Indiana Jones in the box office in India since its release in June. It is the sequel to Sarka released in 2005, which is said to be the Indian version of the Godfather. The movie is about the power struggle between a multinational company which plans to build a new power plant and a politician family who tries to block the construction. The head of the family Sarkar puts his son Shankar as his successor. Anita, the CEO of an international company named Sheppard Power Plant, wants to build a power plant in this region. Shankar foresees the development which it will bring along and persuades his father who is worried about the project. However, Shankar's dream backfires to damage the family reputation.The primary cast features the three members of Amitabh BACHCHAN family. We can see the excellent performance of the actors and actresses representing India. The movie is even more intense given that it is adapted from a real story. 

Diretor

Ram Gopal VARMA

Born in 1962. He took up a career initially as a video store owner before eventually becoming one of India's leading film directors. Varma's crime films were more deep and realistic. He Received Filmfare Award for Satya (1998).
