Synopsis
The topic of Kyoungseong under Japanese rules has risen as Chungmuro's new ground followed by Epitaph, Once Upon a Time in Corea, and Modern Boy. Now comes Radio Dayz, a feel-good comedy set in the context of a radio station in 1930s where its employees try to develop a radio drama, 'Flames of Love,' championed by good-for-nothing producer Lloyd (RYOO Seung Bum). While he wants to earn a jazz singer's (KIM Sa Rang) mind by casting her as the main character, the project's team members drive the drama to nowhere. The film stays away from the generational pain, rather, depicts a group of people with characteristic flaws striving for a common goal, thus gains the universalism. Enjoy unusual fragments of Kyoungseong beyond your imagination with strong humorous twists and character compositions. (HUH Nam Woong)
