Chookiat SAKVEERAKUL made his debut with a horror feature Evil, which was followed by a clever thriller 13 Beloved. SAKVEERAKUL's turn in filmography with The Love of Siam was responded with sensations in the domestic market. Despite some typicality of an Asian queer plot, the director's earnest faith in the theme is powerful and persuasive with excellent scenario and producing. (Jin PARK)
