Synopsis
New Type: Just for Your Love is a new film of Ryuichi HIROKI who was invited to the last year's PiFan. Outstanding in describing woman and teen psychology, HIROKI has finished two films this year, which shows his extended views on how he sees the world. To be shown in PiFan for the first time, the movie is an impressive variation of feminine drama with a touch of SF fantasy. Yuri is a girl working in a wharf who always wears an eye patch on her left eye. Yuri wants a normal life but she has a secret. As a mysterious boy named KWON comes along, she and KWON realize that they have special ability. KWON can read minds and Yuri can turn back time. If they use the special power, the memory of the other is gone and they loose eyesight. Without flashy graphics, the film quietly shows their story in a realistic way. One day, Yuri is forced to decide whether to use her power. In this film, HIROKI emphasizes the importance of feelings and communications. Just for your love is an old-fashioned title, but it perfectly fits this film. (KWON Yong Min)
