Synopsis

What do you get if you turn some billion dollar project Transformer into a low-budget recycle produced in the Philippines? Well, Recycle. It is 2021. A small bands of humans have survived brutal attacks by aliens. They put their heads together to create robots with which they rebel against the out-of-spacers' robot army corps. A caveat: Do not dare imagine a no-brainer movie with only shallow techniques just because Transformer was used as the motif and this movie is cheap. In truth, Recycle does have some ingenuous fun elements of its own, like the scenes that resemble the Mad Max type dystopia fares. Recycle is a collection of small yet brilliant ideas and somewhat loosely constructed Kitschish fun. The reviewer's mantra: Open your mind and you'll see the hidden treasure. (HUH Ji Woong)
