Synopsis

Unknown actor Om is the biggest fan of star actress Shantipriya. He worships the woman, though all he can do is dream of playing her partner in her movies as she dances in the spotlight. Destiny brings them together when he rescues her during a shooting. But the bliss is short-lived. She is killed, betrayed by her lover/producer. Om himself, too, meets his demise as he witnesses his beloved dying, aflame, in front of his eyes. Thirty years pass. Om, now reincarnated as a first-tier actor, encounters an aspiring actress who looks just like Shantipriya, as well as the murdering producer who's still alive. Om successfully recollects his previous life and vows for revenge. India's greatest box office hit in 2007, Om Shanti Om is a fantasy melodrama, a story of unfulfilled love and vengeance spanning over three decades. Viewers are literally awed by the intricate plots and reversals, the solid composition, the splendid song and dance numbers, the give-all-I've-got performance of the actors, and the majestic finale.
