Synopsis
A brilliant and clever thriller of a Spanish director, Gonzalo Lopez-GALLEGO is King of the Hill. Quim was on his way to see his ex-girlfriend when he finds himself targeted by an unseen attacker in the middle of the remote countryside. Running for his life in the mountains, he passes Bea, a beautiful woman seemingly in the same situation. Film maniacs may well associate the film's setting with that of Steven SPIELBERG's Duel, where the attack from the open resembles Alfred HITCHCOCK's North by Northwest and the mood is comparable to Wes CRAVEN's The Hills Have Eyes. Within the traditional context of a thriller, the movie draws out horror both from the endangered and the attacker by effectively capturing the culprit's tensions. After all, idea is the key in the movie business. (HUH Nam Woong)
