Synopsis
12-year-old Oskar's days are pestered by bullies at school, In despair, he often spends time alone on the playground in front of his house until he bumps into Eli, the girl of the same age who moved in next door. Oskar becomes fascinated by her mysteriousness only to find out her deadly secret. She was not just 12 years old, she was a 12-year-old-forever vampire. After Eli's fahter gets caught on a murder scene in an attempt to gather blood for his daughter, Oskar is left to take care of Eli he could hardly deal with.
Adapted from the bestselling novel the same title, Let the Right One In unleashes the simple romance between a 12-year-old boy alienated from the world and an unearthly vampire girl in surprising stillness. While the snowscape of cold winter in Sweden distinguishes their bizarre and heartbreaking first love, emotional intervention is completely excluded from screen, capturing delicately the main actors' expressions. Notice two children actors who portray Oskar and Eli, Les Enfants Terribles crossing over innocence and devilishness (Jin PARK)
