Synopsis

The golden age of ‘Radio Star’ is over and voice actors are losing their place. One day, voice actors gather for a dubbing of a new game to be released. The recording of them with different stories is not going well from the beginning.

Program Note

When the work that we start out for fun becomes a daily routine, when you get used to feeling comfortable and feel bored, there are moments when the feeling and heart of the first time we started something suddenly comes to mind. One might call this the ‘original intention’ (Choshim). Perhaps that is what the characters need in the movie Hakuna Matata Pole Pole . Voice actors gather together for the dubbing of a new RPG game. They start recording in their own ways, but they don’t seem to be in harmony. On top of this, the situation gets even more twisted as people who have nothing to do in the dubbing industry intervene just because they are bigger stars or because they are the producers. And at the very moment they discourage their identity, they remember a dream they had probably forgotten, a moment they could have been most self-confident, and gather their energy toward the completion of the recording. The reason why the world of voice actors feel so exciting and cheering is because it reminds us the dream and passion that we once had but ought to forget. Director KIM Sun-ung shows the director’s endless affection for the film industry and the performance of actors such as Park Ho-san, Kim Jeong-pal, Lee Yi-kyung and Moon Ji-in are definitely stunning.
