Synopsis

When three sisters break into a rich house to steal money, they find a girl tied to a bed in the basement, showing signs of having been brutally tortured. They do not know, however, that releasing this girl will open the gates to a world of pure evil.

Program Note

Three edgy sisters break into the house of a senator to steal money he got from bribes. They couldn’t find the money and threatened the couple. While doing it, they hear strange cries coming from the basement and goes down to investigate. They find the senator’s young daughter who is bruised and tied to a bed. The sisters get infuriated and try to release her. Parents beg them not to release her, but they release her. Suddenly everything turns into hell. Guillermo Amoedo wrote for films like The Green Inferno (2015) and Knock Knock (2014) with director Eli Roth, known for Cabin Fever (2002) and Hostel (2005). Amoedo put multi-layers into the story. At first, the film looks like a girl gang’s action, but suddenly turns into The Exorcist (1973). The pains of three sisters controlled by the devil are intertwined with family history. The storytelling of family history is close to a psychodrama which is directed by the Devil. When the truth is revealed, it is cruel and merciless. The Devil makes an evil smile and licks its tongue. Guillermo Amoedo is an Uruguayan director and screenwriter. Amoedo is the co-writer with Eli Roth, of the films The Green Inferno (2013) and with Nicolás López, of the romantic comedies Do It Like An Hombre (2017). He has also written and directed TV films and feature films.
