Synopsis

From the Brazilian elite, Octavio and Gilda are a very wealthy couple who also happen to be the habit of eating their employees. When Gilda accidentally discovers a secret from The Cannibal Club’s leader, her and her husband’s lives are in mortal danger.

A Brazilian rich couple, Octavio and Gilda get excited the most in their decadent life when they enjoy their naughty hobbies. They seduce their servants and kill them in the climax to eat them. Nobody cares about the whereabouts of the dead. In this secret club of the powers, the couple accidentally witnessed a secret of Borges, a congressman and the leader of the club. And a young man is hired for work… The film is a direct satire on the privileged elites who exploit poor workers and cook them in a private-owned seaside residence. Parente completed a fierce satire in the form of elegant, brutal and sleek genre film. This is something that can take place everywhere. I won’t be surprised if this erotic gore film is remade in Hollywood or China any time soon. (Ellen Y. D. KIM)

Guto PARENTE

Born in 1983, Fortaleza, Brazil and in 2011, he founded the production company Tardo Filmes. His works held exhibitions in film festivals such as Locarno, Rotterdam. Recently, he has directed two new feature films, My Own Private Hell and The Cannibal Club, both to be released in 2018.
