Synopsis

Expressway, One-night stand and TV direct are the three episodes that make up this ensemble. Ghosts, demons, and vengeful spirits take turns to haunt you during the scariest hour of the night, 3A.M. – it’s the time when such supernatural scary things tend to happen.

Program Note

This is an omnibus film directed by three directors. The stories are happening at three in the morning. This film is the third episode in a series that connects part 1 (2012) and part 2 (2014).
Expressway : The model ghost who suspiciously died is haunting a toll gate worker on the city highway and driving that person to death. This episode takes a parting shot towards anomie phenomenon and the harmful effects of SNS. Losing the wallet several times and the tollgate fee are the macguffin, they critical metaphor remarks to pay for the excluded ethics of the rapid growth of the content industry.
One Night Stand : Tan, a restoration art expert, suffers a strange phenomenon after his ex-girlfriend asked him to work on something. Tan had been restoring a picture of the queen Polydamna giving Helena a Nepenthes (carnivorous plant) during Odyssey. He is addicted to Nepenthes. He is conflicted and wants to do it and not do it. The human desire that cannot be filled, the love that is not returned, and the original solitude motivates this episode.
TV Direct : Workers in the advertising studio are tired because of frequently overtime and are desperate to leave work. As works slows down, the director’s tyranny does not stop. Even worse, there are ghost haunting the studio. This episode sublimates the joy and sorrow of the workers into a Thai humor code and makes The Others (2001) expression reversal. (HONG Eun-hwa)
