Synopsis

A love story between a career woman with early onset Alzheimer's, and a working man who strives to be an architect. From different family backgrounds, their union already has its issues, but another, more fatal crisis is on the cards.

Program Note

The biggest scar of love is the moment you realize that you are nothing to the lover, and the moment you realize that ‘your absence’ is almost mandatory. This was the case with Su-jin and Chul-soo. Su-jin, who was especially forgetful, fell in love with Chul-soo. Their marriage seemed full of love and happiness, until Su-jin was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Forgetting the way home, forgetting the vegetables that she cut on the board… Su-jin will soon forget her name, age, and Chul-soo, and she won’t even remember to go to the bathroom. The mind will be dying earlier than the young 27-year-old body. If Su-jin doesn’t recognize Chul-soo and loses her memory of being with him, is their love nothing at all? Was the time shared between the two recognized to have existed only according to the memory of each other? A Moment to Remember is a melodrama that asks a fundamental question about the meaning of love through a woman who is losing her memory. (KIM Yong-eon)

Diretor

LEE Jae-han

Born in 1971 and graduated from New York University with a degree in film studies. He directed many music videos of famous Korean singers. He also directed war films like 71: Into The Fire (2010) and Operation Chromite (2016).
