Threads

Toril KVOE

Norway, Canada2017 9min Korean Premiere

Synopsis

This animation is a work that takes the relationship and the journey between parents and children connected with thread and thread in only 8 minutes. After the movie ends, the meaning of 'Thread' has many meanings.

Program Note

The red threads are knots that represent but as we grow up to be an adult, we have to break away from the previous cord and create a new bond with our own. The film Threads slowly and carefully releases this reasonable message. The mother and child keep their threads in their heart and cheer for each other’s future. They seem naïve but mature. Isn’t it maturity that seems easy but is never easy to accomplish? Once again, the Mousbi(meaning knot in Japanese) made in Canada intertwine with our lives. (NAH Ho-won)
