The World Over

Synopsis

A young couple discovering a parallel space which can connected in their house. After the curious husband enters the space, she becomes alone. The woman who cannot stand her husband's absence, kills herself from another parallel universe in order to be with her husband.

Program Note

A couple finds a door to another world by chance. Husband Jules has not returned from the other side of the door for months, so the wife Cass in the last month of pregnancy crosses over to the other side in search of him. Various theories may be used for different interpretations, but a series of total disasters faced by Cass are something that may also happen to us. We simply have to substitute them with the process of doubting and fighting a number of self within ourselves. (HWANG Hye-min)

Heath C. MICHAELS

Heath C. Michaels studied directing at The University of North Carolina School of the Arts where he received a B.F.A. before moving to Los Angeles, CA in 1999. His first feature film, Yeardley (2010) premiered at the Santa Fe Film Festival in 2009 where it was nominated for the best feature film.
