Synopsis

A woman working under a bad-tempered baker discovers a bakery secret that should never have been revealed - a secret that threatens the entire planet. You'll definitely want to eat croquettes after this weird incident in a shabby neighborhood bakery.

Program Note

A woman working in a bakery dreams of a world where bread brings everybody together. Revolting against ever-worsening dictatorship of its owner, she finds bread slaves trapped underground and overthrows the bakery with them. This little coup that started in this bakery puts Earth into danger. Unpredictable characters from customers to employees and slaves compress the world we live in into the bakery. Overacting and overdirecting makes abnormal situation strangely convincing. (YOO Hyun-ji)

SAKAMOTO Yugo

Yugo and Nagiko both graduated from Kyoto University of Art & Design. Tsuji is the member of a troupe of the Kanpei Hazama theatrical company and Sakamoto. He has participated in directing, script, editing and shooting of the movie, Slaughter Jap (2017). Their collaboration made Yubari Film Festival Short Film Grand Prix possible.
