Synopsis

[China : No.2]
When a travelling monk is stranded in a wasteland, he meets the Monkey King who committed a serious crime and is locked up in the mountains. The Monkey King must escort him across the land to retrieve sacred scriptures and protect him from an evil demon.

Diretor

Soi CHEANG

A veteran filmmaker who started his career as Johnnie To’s assistant director in the early 90’s, he made his directorial debut with Diamond Hill (2000). After a string of commercially successful horror films in the domestic market, he earned his first international repute for Dog Bite Dog (2006), followed by the critically acclaimed Accident (2009) which was in Competition at the Venice Film Festival.
