Elle Marja, a reindeer-breeding Sámi girl, is exposed to the racism of the 1930's and race biology examinations at her boarding school. She starts dreaming of another life in the city.
Born in 1986, she graduated in film directing from the National Film School of Denmark. Since 2006, she has directed several acclaimed shorts including Northern Great Mountain (2015), the pilot for Sami blood (2016) which premiered at Sundance and has won several awards at other festivals.
