Everyone in Justine's family - including Justine herself - is a vegetarian. When Justine undergoes a carnivorous hazing ritual at vet school, an unbidden taste for meat begins to grow in her.
Born in 1983, she is a French director and scriptwriter. She studied screenwritingat La Fémis and her short film Junior (2011) won Petit Rail d’Or at 2011 Cannes Film Festival. Raw (2016) is her first feature film and won FIPRESCI Prize at 2016 Cannes Film Festival.
